American Search Dogs
Fall is arriving and winter looks inevitable.
We've been out on several searches so far this year and
plan to be supportive of the continuing efforts to
find Susan Powell.
We are happy to announce that Joyce and Lacy have
achieved their certification in Cadaver.
Cogratulations to them. Our tails are wagging!!
We also have some sad news. Due to complications of aging,
Magen has retired as an active search dog.
Her partner, Chris, will continue working with us in a
support capacity until he is ready to train another dog.
Megan -- Thank-you for your great service. We already miss you!
We are busy doing demonstrations again
and find it rewarding to work with the children
in the hope they are prepared for their
camping, hiking and family fun this year.
Our hope is that through education, there will be less
and less need for search and rescue as the
years go along.
Thanks to the Swanson Foundation and because of their support
we have been able to give each person a copy of
the book "Search Dogs and You"
to take home and share with their family.
Our goal in doing the demonstrations is to help educate
everyone we can on wilderness safety.
The book is available to anyone who would like one, as long
as they last. Just contact Paulette at
gooderpaulette@msn.com
or Vickie at

WE continue to train and keep our teams up to the High Standards
set by American Search Dogs.
Some of our team members have been attending
outside training, bringing back new techniques
and insights for continual growth
We hope you enjoy keeping up with our activities
through our Photo Gallery Page.
You can run your curser over the image for a description of the photo.
